On the Move: Regen company reappoints chair

  • The board of Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company has re-appointed Felicity Goodey as chair. Ms Goodey, a businesswoman and former senior BBC journalist, has chaired the company since 2006. Her re-appointment follows the Urc achieving all its annual targets for 2009/10, including over 3,000 jobs, 378 new homes and contracting £36m in funding and approvals for 2010-11. New board directors from the private sector are now being sought to drive forward the delivery of approved programmes and projects.
  • The Northwest Women’s Enterprise Forum has welcomed five new faces. The new members are the following female entrepreneurs: Anna Louise Gilhooley of the Rejuvenate Group, Jacqueline Hughes-Lundy from Inspiring Connections, Don’t Start Without Me’s Jean Gadsby, Jessica Symons of Thinking Women and Liz Clarke from BikeRight. A new Northwest Women’s Enterprise Action Plan for 2010 onwards is currently being drafted and will be released shortly.
  • Keith Madeley is the new chair of Arts & Business Yorkshire, an organisation that promotes partnerships between commerce and culture. Mr Madeley takes over the position from Trevor Lewis, ex-vice president of Bradford and Bingley, who had served as chair since the organisation’s formation.
