Networked Professionals CPD meeting - Leeds

Networked Professionals CPD meeting Friday 16 March 2012 (10.00–12.30) Involve Yorkshire & Humber, Floor 5 Gallery House, 131 The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 5RD A Free Learning Networked Professionals CPD meeting from Involve Yorkshire & Humber and the Institute for Learning. Lunch provided Are you interested in setting up a CPD network where professionals can support one another to offer 'brilliant teaching and learning' experiences to students? One of the strongest messages to come out of the 2010-11 CPD Review conducted by the Institute for Learning through a series of focus groups between September and November 2011, was members' desire to work collaboratively. They spoke often of the   benefits they enjoyed through shared CPD experiences, exemplified by such comments as 'the best moments are always with other people'. In many focus groups members spoke about how much it had helped them just coming together to reflect on their CPD in the focus group. They wanted more opportunities of this sort. In response, we warmly invite you to participate in 'Networked Professionals'.

We will

examine the findings reported in the 2010-11 CPD review (which we will share with you)

consider and prioritise proposals for services for members that arise from the review and so work with us to design your services

plan with you what seems most useful in your locality/region

We will, of course, work with those agencies and groups that already offer support services to our sector to avoid wasteful duplication and to maximise benefits   Who should attend

teachers and educators

staff development managers, quality managers, human resources managers and curriculum and team leaders supporting staff in their subject areas

anyone who supports staff development in your voluntary or community organisation

The voluntary sector: a guided tour

Thursday 15  March 2012 (10.15–12.30) Northern Ballet, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7PA    The voluntary sector: a guided tour is one in the series of Landscape seminars run by Involve Yorkshire & Humber. The voluntary and community sector (VCS) takes many shapes and forms, and plays a vital role throughout society. This seminar will help you navigate your way through the sector in Yorkshire and the Humber and help you build crucial new relationships. Book now.
