NOMS Consortia Building Event

Need partners in order to bid for large contracts?

More than the Sum is a £1.5m fund developed by NOMS CFO Programme, aimed at supporting the creation of enterprise based consortiums.

The fund will provide technical and specialist support to help develop governance, legal and other structures and policies together with initial investment monies to develop the business model.  The investment funding will be competed via a series of national, regional and local lots.

A series of free regional events with a special workshop on consortia and a speed dating element to facilitate finding your perfect partners have been organised across the country.

The Yorkshire and the Humber event will be at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, 9.30-4pm on the 14th May and will and include lunch.

Co-operative and Social Enterprise Summer School

Booking is now open for the 2012 Co-operative and Social Enterprise Summer School in Sheffield, running from the 18th to the 20th July.

A two or three day short course exploring the social and economic contribution of co-operatives and social enterprises. This course develops your knowledge of the rationale, purposes and practices of co-operatives and social enterprises. 

It will enhance your contribution to discussions with • policy makers • financial institutions • business advisers • charity trustees • company directors • co-operative members • work colleagues.

The course covers the origins and forms of co-operative and social enterprises in the public, private and third sectors. You then have the opportunity to apply the theory to practice.
