| As I understand it Alex, company law in the UK places a duty on directors to manage the company in such a way as to maximise return on investment to shareholders. Surely this will mean that directors of listed SEs will, by law, have to look at ROI to shareholders as the primary consideration in the management of their business? Unless of course we develop a different body of company law for social enterprises. |
