Who Should Use Acid Test?

Acid Test is suitable for any organisation in the voluntary and community sector, or any social enterprise, which wants to check out how well prepared they are to drive their organisations forward to a next stage. Acid Test is primarily - but not exclusively - aimed at groups:

• with a turnover of between £200,000 and £600,000 per annum;
• which intend to take a significant step forward such as taking on a new property, or taking on a major new project;
• which are already committed to pursuing an enterprise basis for their development and sustainability: i.e. which are committed to applying commercial and business principles to how they go forward - while remaining committed to social purpose.

A good approach would be to have a look through Acid Test and decide if it's for you. Then talk within your organisation and suggest to your senior staff and members of the board that it form the basis of a joint review and planning exercise.
